Interventi di tutela e rinaturazione della Pineta di Cervia - Milano Marittima
The project is funded under the Mis. 8.5.01 of the Rural Development Program 2014-2020 - EAFRD and foresee remediation actions included in the Naturalistic Management Plan of the Cervia Pinewood.
It foresees the completion of the silvicultural interventions started in recent years in some parts of the forest of the Pinetal belt located north-east of Via Jelenia Gora adjacent to the built-up area of Milano Marittima. In particular, it envisages targeted thinning of the plants that are peremptory and subjugated mainly by the maritime pine, favoring the release of the specimens of domestic pine and native hardwoods typical of coastal forests. Such interventions allow to obtain greater stability and durability of the pine forest. In addition, pruning interventions are planned for securing and cutting the infesting vegetation on the centuries-old pines along the pine forests. Within the Natural Park, instead, the botanical path will be restyled, with the installation of new signs illustrating the botanical characteristics of the main herbaceous shrub and tree species typical of the Cervia Pinewood. The installation of new notice boards with illustrative signs on the shape of plant leaves, spontaneous orchids and mushrooms in the pine forest is also planned.
