INTERVENTI DI RIPRISTINO DELLA PINETA DI CERVIA -MILANO MARITTIMA DANNEGGIATA DALLA TROMBA D'ARIA DEL 10/07/2019 (ZONA SUD EST)
The restoration intervention of the Cervia-Milano Marittima pine forest damaged by the whirlwind is included as a priority action to conserve a delicate ecosystem and to improve it as a function of increasing resilience to disturbing factors.
Therefore, a plan of forest restoration interventions has been developed that provides for the reconstitution of forest stands and related habitats through the modulation of planting interventions in the new forest plots and the care and preservation of residual vegetation.
Interventions must take into account both the habitats to be reconstituted and the vocation and potential vegetation of the different sites. Given the considerable width of the deforested areas and in order to accelerate the time of soil cover and to encourage competition with spontaneous weed vegetation, reforestation should be carried out through the planting of forest plants with species expected to be used are those typical of the habitats of the area, equipped with a brace and bisodisc. In order to ensure their rooting, moreover, the necessary and assiduous cultural care and especially mowing and emergency irrigation shall be carried out.
